One Simple Browser Trick Could Land You Cheaper Airline Tickets

Don't let your browsing history jack up prices!

Don't let airline prices prevent you from exploring the world. Even though they can add up (fast!), there's one trick you can try to save money when hunting for flights online: Clear your cookies. No, not the chocolate chip treats you eat with milk—virtual cookies.

You see, websites use something called "dynamic pricing," which allows them to change prices based on each individual person's search history. But clearing your cookies deletes information about your Internet browsing (like the three hours you spend searching for Iceland tickets last night) and will help you avoid sneaky dynamic pricing. But this process is different depending on what browser you use.

How to clear cookies on Chrome:

1. Click the menu button on your browser's toolbar. It looks like three short lines on the far right. Then click on "Settings."

2. Click "Show advanced settings."

4. Click on the arrow next to "Details" to expand the list of history items and select "Cookies." Then click "Clear now" to clear the cookies and then close the the window.

May this trick help your Iceland dreams come true.
