Every July, the Wyke Manor Estate Farm in Worcestershire welcomes a spectacular sight as fields of bright flowers come into full bloom. It makes for a stunning summer display, but the beautiful fields near Pershore also provide the 1000-acre farm with the petals needed to make real flower confetti.

When the blooms of delphiniums and cornflowers - said to symbolise deep emotions and friendship - are at their peak, their petals are handpicked before being dried. The remaining petals are then ploughed back into the soil to enrich the ground for the following crop.

Before the picking process begins, the fields are open to the public for only 10 days each year. This summer marks the business' 20th year of growing confetti petals, and to celebrate, the farm has planted an impressive Union Jack flower flag field.

Come and see the new Flower Union Jack! Our field is open from 30th June for 10 days! #confettifields #flowerfields #realflowerpetalconfetti #uniqueplace
