Cherry Blossom Season Has Started in Japan And the Photos Are Breathtaking

Cherry blossom season has officially started in Tokyo, after officials from the Meteorological Agency confirmed that more than five blossoms had bloomed on a tree at Yasukuni Shrine, the Japan Times reports. Other local news outlets have confirmed that several cities in southern Japan have also seen their trees, which symbolize renewal and vitality in Japanese culture, reach full bloom. Here are some of the most beautiful photos from the 2019 season.
