It's official: actress Jennifer Lawrence is engaged to Cooke Maroney, a successful, if relatively unknown, art dealer. Below, everything we know about Lawrence's husband-to-be.

HE WAS RAISED ON A FARM IN VERMONT.

Although Cooke's father, James Maroney, was once a leading figure in the art world, serving as the Head of American Paintings at both Christie’s and Sotheby’s, his parents decided to embrace a rural lifestyle when Cooke was young. (Read more about their evolving lifestyle on Medium.)

His parents now have the farm listed on Airbnb, should you be interested in reliving Cooke's childhood.

HE'S DONE WELL FOR HIMSELF IN THE NEW YORK ART WORLD.

Like his father, Cooke has pursued a career on the business side of art. He's currently the director of Gladstone 64, one of the locations under the umbrella of leading gallery Gladstone. Artists represented by Gladstone include Matthew Barney, Anish Kapoor, and Ugo Rondinone, among many more big names.

"He’s definitely respected. He’s not a big player, but he’s a player," said a source for The Cut. "I’d say he understands what good art is, as opposed to a lot of art dealers who just like to go to parties and do deals."

LAWRENCE MET HIM THROUGH A FRIEND.

It was Jennifer Lawrence's best friend, Laura Simpson, who made the match. A source told Page Six back in June that "they met through Jen’s friend Laura… The relationship has been going on a few weeks. But they have been very private and careful not to be seen together."

COOKE REPORTEDLY LIKES TO PARTY.

"He’s definitely fun-loving but I wouldn’t say he’s out of control," a source told The Cut. "He likes to have fun, a young good New York guy who likes to participate and have fun. When we would hang out we would definitely drink, we would have fun."

IF YOU'RE LOOKING TO FOLLOW HIM ON SOCIAL MEDIA, YOU'RE SADLY OUT OF LUCK.

Cooke's Instagram is currently private—although an abstract profile photo hints at the artsy content his nearly 2,000 followers get to peep.
