After over four years of dating, multi-hyphenate socialite Tim Yap and partner, events director Javi Martinez Pardo of YAParazzi Productions have tied the knot. The two announced their union through an Instagram post on New Year’s Day.

In a separate post, Lea Salonga revealed that Yap and Martinez secretly got married on Christmas day. She writes, “Finally, I was given permission to post this!!! I was asked by Tim and Javi to be a witness at their wedding, which would take place Christmas Day 2017, and I said yes. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Tim this happy. Congratulations to you both!!!”

Town&Country Philippines got in touch with Yap, who shared some details about the intimate nuptials. He revealed they decided to get married on Christmas day to celebrate the new chapter in their relationship by starting a new tradition.

Yap wore a Dolce & Gabbana suit, while Martinez wore Hugo Boss, and both were protected from the New York cold with matching Gucci scarves.

It only made sense for them to marry at the Peninsula New York as Yap mentions, “We met at the Peninsula Manila at an event and we got married at the Peninsula New York.” The wedding came full circle, with the help of the couple’s various Peninsula acquaintances who went out of their way to make everything seamless.

“This wasn’t a wedding of details. It was just about us and our message for each other. With two witnesses, Lea Salonga being one of them. No fuss and fanfare, not even a hashtag,” he says.

When asked about the ceremony’s highlights, Yap shares, “The vows, when the officiant told us to interlock our arms in the shape of the infinity symbol and we made our promise to each other. It was so special and intimate that it felt like it was only us on that rooftop. It was extremely cold, too. So I could feel my tears freeze as they were going down my cheeks.”
