Prince George Will Officially Serve as a Page Boy For Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's Wedding
All eyes will no doubt be on the bride when Princess Eugenie marries Jack Brooksbank at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle in October. But there's another group of attendees who could steal the show: the page boys.
Unlike in American wedding parties, royal bridal attendants are typically kids, usually young relatives or children of the bride and groom's close friends. With that in mind, Eugenie and Jack have chosen a few youngsters to serve in their wedding party this fall. A couple of days ago, the royal family confirmed that Eugenie and Jack have picked two page boys and one special attendant to join the six bridesmaids, Princess Charlotte, Savannah Phillips, Isla Phillips, Mia Tindall, Maud Windsor, and Theodora Williams, on their wedding day:
The royal family revealed George will serve as a page boy in Eugenie and Jack's royal wedding. Prince George has a lot of page boy experience for a four-year-old. George first served as a page boy in his aunt Pippa Middleton's wedding back in May 2017, and then reprised his role in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal wedding in May. As the son of Princess Eugenie's cousin, Prince William, George is a close relative of the bride, so giving the little prince a role in the wedding is a meaningful gesture for the entire royal family.
LOUIS DE GIVENCHY
Six-year-old Louis will also serve as a page boy in Eugenie and Jack's wedding. Louis is the son of Zoë and Olivier de Givenchy, who are reportedly close friends with Eugenie. In early July, The Express reported that Louis and his sister Ines will both serve in Eugenie and Jack's bridal party as page boy and bridesmaid, but as of today the palace has only confirmed Louis.
JAMES, VISCOUNT SEVERN
James, Viscount Severn is the son of Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex. He is also a cousin of Princess Eugenie's. Ten-year-old James has been asked to serve as a special attendant in Eugenie and Jack's wedding, along with his sister, Lady Louise Windsor. While not technically part of the page boy group, we can expect to see James with the rest of the bridal party on the wedding day.
