HIDDEN
Concealing the source is one of the great tricks of the trade. Planner Sofia Crokos (sofiacrokos.com) uses softly draped canopies to hide fixtures but let in light.

COLOR PLAY

OUTDOORS
Lighting under the stars is always a challenge. Monn says not to forget objects in the distance: Light up the dunes, the ocean. “A guest’s experience is defined by as far as he can see,” Monn says.
