Ava Phillippe turned 18 earlier this year, but her debut at this weekend's Le Bal des Débutantes may have been her biggest party of 2017. The daughter of Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe wore a voluminous gold Giambattista Valli Haute Couture dress and joined 20 other debutants for Saturday night's big event, which took place at the Peninsula Hotel in Paris.

Phillippe's escort for the evening was apparently Sawai Padmanabh Sing, also known as the Maharaja of Jaipur. The two danced to a song from La La Land, which seems a bit on the nose but well—when the song fits, dance to it.

This Paris event is a favorite of notable American offspring. Previous scions who have made their Paris debut include Robert Kennedy Jr.'s daughter Kyra Kennedy, Larry David's daughter Romy, Sylvester Stallone‘s daughter Sophia Rose, and Bruce Willis and Demi Moore‘s daughters Scout and Tallulah Willis.

This year, comedian Steve Harvey's daughter Lori was also among the debutantes. French journalist Marion Galy-Ramounot shared this snap of Ava and Lori together:

People.com reports that the other young women making their debut include British model Stella Tennant’s daughter Cecily Lasnet, Belgian princess Natasha d’Arenberg, and Americans Lily Webster, Charlotte Bell, Jeanne Malle, and Laila Blavatnik.

Phillippe herself sadly did not take us inside le Bal via her Instagram. Her only nod to the fact that she and her mother were in Paris this weekend? A sweet snap of her five-year-old brother Tennessee on the carousel in the Tuileries.

thankful for moments like this! ??
