In a gathering of Manila's finest, T&C honored some of the Philippines' most inspiring Wonder Women at the Manila Hotel’s storied Champagne Room.

Within the halls of this 107-year-old hotel, many stories have taken place. Beneath the crystal palm trees and tasseled chandeliers of its Champagne Room, many guests have a special memorya first date, an engagement, or another grand celebrationeach reminiscent of the beauty of unhurried luxury amid old-world elegance.

The Champagne Room provided the perfect backdrop for celebrating Town&Country PhilippinesWonder Women. Friends old and new toasted with Champagne and gin and tonics from the Botanist as old school favorites like Chateaubriand and baked Alaska were served.

Filipino products from Kultura vignette the hallways of the Champagne Room.

Nearly 150 guests raised their glasses to honor 50 remarkable womenall of them making a difference.

Among those present were Vice President Leni Robredo, Tony Award-winning actress Lea Salonga, gallerist Isa Lorenzo, Asia's best female chef Margarita Fores, National Book Store founder Socorro Ramos and her granddaughter, managing director Xandra Ramos, MoveEd's Alex Madrigal Eduque, and Teach for Philippines founder Lizzie Zobel. "Today we celebrate smart, strong, accomplished Filipino women—Wonder Women who have excelled in their chosen fields and who are helping move our nation forward," said Town&Country editor in chief Yvette Fernandez. "Even if smart, strong women are belittled or referred to as ‘nasty’ in other parts of the world, in the Philippines, they are celebrated."
