O. J. Simpson will be released on parole in October, The Associated Pressreports. The former football star, who has served nine years of a 33-year sentence for armed robbery, appeared before a Nevada parole board Thursday to make his case that he should be eligible for release. Simpson led a group robbery of a memorabilia dealer whom he said had his property illegally in 2007, twelve years after he was famously acquitted in the murder of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and Ron Goldman.
