Though the official Miss Universe website does not mention the prizes this year unlike previous pageants, sources say the Miss Universe 2018’s awards remain just as luxurious as in previous years.
The National, a private daily newspaper published in the English language in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, listed the prize package the Miss Universe 2018 will receive in a December 9 article.
The UAE-based daily said the Miss Universe 2018 will be awarded "a year-long salary as Miss Universe and a luxury accommodation in a New York City apartment for the duration of her reign, including living expenses."
As Miss Universe, Gray will have extensive trips representing sponsors and charitable partners of the organization in order to fulfill her duties and to advance her advocacies. Gray has repeatedly highlighted education focusing on children and the youth as her personal advocacy throughout the competition.
She will also have the opportunity to beef up her portfolio, as she will be granted access to various events including casting opportunities, movie premieres, screenings, Broadway shows, and launch parties. The new Miss Universe will also take part in modeling photoshoots by leading fashion photographers.
On top of this, Gray will also receive a one-year supply of beauty products, a full shoe wardrobe from Chinese Laundry Shoes and Accessories, skin and healthcare products, and a personal appearance wardrobe and styling by the official Miss Universe Organization fashion stylist.
