Over the weekend, the 12 boys who were rescued in Tham Luang Nang Non cave in Northern Thailand back in July attended a Manchester United match.

The boys, who made up a local football team called Wild Boars, spent the whole weekend at Manchester United’s training grounds and the Old Trafford stadium. Manchester United welcomed the boys and shared a number of photos through Twitter.

The tour culminated with the team watching the English Premier League match between Manchester United and Everton. Ahead of the game, the 12 boys received applause from fans and supporters. A moment of silence was also given in light of the recent helicopter crash that Thai billionaire and Leicester City owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha perished in.

Early in October, Prince William hosted a reception with the British divers and support staff who helped in the rescue. Christopher Jewell, Lance Corporal Connor Roe, Jim Warny, and Martin Holroyd as well as the staff who provided dive equipment, arranged travel, and provided medical assistance were thanked by the Duke of Cambridge.
