Update 09/25/2018: Today, Bill Cosby was sentenced to 3 to 10 years in state prison and has been declared 'a sexually violent predator' in court. According to the New York Times, he will also have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

Original 4/27/2018: After Bill Cosby was convicted on three counts of sexual assault Thursday, the comedian lashed out at District Attorney Kevin Steele, who had argued that Cosby is a flight risk because "he has a plane."

"He doesn’t have a plane, you asshole!" Cosby shouted in the courtroom. But does he?

Cosby, who according to celebritynetworth.com is worth $400 million thanks to his reported $4-million-per-episode payments for The Cosby Show and endorsement arrangements with brands like Jell-O and Coca-Cola, has previously been photographed on a private jet with the tail number N712CC. This Flickr photo shows a Gulfstream jet, which features the same striped livery as the one below, with "Camille" written on the tail.

Bill Cosby steps off a private plane in Hamilton, Canada in January 2015.

The comedian has been married to Camille Olivia Cosby since 1964. But here's where the story takes a turn. The FAA registration for the tail number N712CC lists it as a 2015 CubCrafters CC11-160, a single-engine plane with just two seats. FlightAware's history of the tail number registration indicates that the aircraft's serial number changed to its current one on December 4, 2015.

Before the serial number changed, one of the previous owners listed was SAH Enterprises Inc., which the Los Angeles Times reported in 1990 as "Cosby's Santa Monica-based personal services corporation." On April 12, 2013, the plane reportedly changed hands from SAH Enterprises to Rogerson Aircraft Corporation, an aviation company located in Irvine, California. The serial number changed with the new owner, suggesting that the Gulfstream jet is no longer associated with it.

Does all this mean that Cosby has actually parted with the "Camille"-emblazoned jet? That plane could have a new tail number, but that doesn't seem likely. Bill Cosby may not have a jet anymore after all, a--hole.
