The Tiaras Were Out in Full Force at a Formal Banquet Honoring the Dutch Royal Visit the U.K.

The Queen and Duchess Kate were joined by King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands.

The King and Queen of the Netherlands are currently on a state visit to the United Kingdom, where the royals are spending time with Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, Prince William, Duchess Kate, and other members of the British royal family. Tonight, Queen Elizabeth is hosting a state banquet at Buckingham Palace in honor of Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima's visit. As is expected with an elaborate affair that brings royals from not one but two European countries together, the tiaras were out in full force.

Queen Maxima is wearing the historic Stuart tiara, while Queen Elizabeth chose the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall wore the Greville tiara.

The tiara's center stone is a rare 39.75-carat, pear-shaped, rose cut stone with a pale blue cast. It once belonged to England's King William II and Queen Mary II.

The Duchess of Cambridge wore the Lover's Knot tiara


Kate paired her signature tiara with an Alexander McQueen dress. The Cambridge Lover's Knot tiara was also one of Princess Diana's favorites.

She also wore an impressive necklace and earring combination.

The Duchess didn't wear a sash


But Kate was sporting a new honor: a yellow badge, with a brooch featuring a portrait of the Queen.
