Shirts with wide lapels and stylized yokes, bootcut jeans, and even boots for that matter are a big hit this season. Although this year, designers have added a more glamorous touch to the mix with the use of vinyl, leather, lace, and fringe as a fresh approach.

A number of designers have put out space-inspired collections, thanks in part to the many sci-fi themed movies and shows that came out the past year. You’ll see the influence of Stranger Things and Star Wars in the metallic and structured pieces that appeared on the runway.

While silky, beaded, and sparkling dresses are commonplace in fashion collections, this season saw a lot more dresses of the glittery variety. The boom of the sparkle app took the fashion world by storm, and it is even more evident with Coach and Salvatore Ferragamo’s spring/summer 2018 collections.

COACH is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists, Inc., and is located at Rustan’s Shangri-La. Salvatore Ferragamo is located at Greenbelt 4, Rustan’s Shangri-La, Rustan’s Makati, Newport Mall, and Solaire Resort & Casino.

Preppy

Preppy also reigns supreme with the use of Ivy League influences and prints such as gingham. Coach uses a more urban slant with dark colors, slim cuts, and unexpected shapes. There is also Kate Spade, sticking to more traditional looks, with a clear French influence.

To contrast spring florals, many brands have included fur for the season. In lieu of full-length fur coats are cropped jackets and small accents. Another trend in itself are vests which were sent down the runway in fur by Coach.
