Style Rules to Live By, As Told By Jewelry Designer Pamela Bähre-Ebensperger
I meditate as soon as I wake up and have been doing this since I was about 5 years old. On a regular day, I draw, work on my jewelry, and meet potential and existing clients. I love to socialize so my evenings are usually spent at events or meeting up with my friends. I read voraciously and travel extensively. I can’t live without doing sports—at the moment I’m doing yoga and starting martial arts again soon. I am in love with learning, so it’s not rare to find me in
Literally everything, but energies that go beyond the physical most of all.
Describe Your Personal Style
It depends on my mood.
Locally I’m a huge fan of Pia Gladys Perey and Ryan Madamba for clothes and Gerome Sta. Maria for shoes. I love discovering young designers. My favorite local painter is Melissa La O’. The Philippines is a very creative country and pretty much every craft is fantastic. Internationally I’m devoted to Zuhair Murad, Alexander McQueen, and Toxic Vision—I like things that are unique and quite extravagant.

Favorite Shopping Destination
I only shop when I need something, but I can find whatever I can think of in the U.S.
Style Rules to Live By
First, elegance is an attitude. Second, fashion is transitory Third, real beauty comes from within. Fourth, carry yourself like a queen and you’ll be perceived as such even if you’re wearing a sack of potatoes. Fifth, only wear what suits you and what you feel comfortable in. One of my strongest values is excellence. I also believe that everything emanates from the spirit and that’s what gives you beauty and presence, and it defines your energy blueprint. If all is aligned, fashion just complements your grace and glory.
Be creative and comfortable in your own skin.
Favorite Wardrobe Item
A black leather belt I bought 17 years ago from an Argentinian fashion designer. I wear it day or night and it looks amazing with casual and formal outfits. It has a soul of its own.
The clothes my mentor and best friend made for me while he was alive. I was a model since I was 14 years old and my mentor was a very famous Chilean fashion designer, Jaime Troncoso. Sadly he left the Earth in 2010 but everything he ever made for me I treasure dearly to this day.
I Can’t Live Without…
The connection I have with the higher realms of energy, people, animals, plants, and laughter. I don’t do well with people who don’t have a sense of humor.
An emerald bracelet I am making for myself.
