This latest Zara news is making our minds melt with the stress of the situation.

According to Refinery 29, we are not pronouncing the popular high street store's name correctly. Yes, Zara, isn't actually 'Zara', it's 'Zara'. Get it?

As one of the R29 fashion team members hung out at Zara's headquarters in A Coruña, Spain, she soon realised that no one said 'Zara' like we do.

Phonetically, the word is actually pronounced "dzah-dah" due to the Northern Castilian dialect where Zs are pronounced with a soft "th" sound, and Rs are closer to Ds.

And because Zara originates from that region, we should really be giving the same care to its pronunciation that we would to a brand like, say, Louis Vuitton.

If you're STILL confused as to how Zara becomes dzah-duh - hopefully this video featuring one of the brand's communication reps will help...

While we're all for knowing the right way to say words, we're not sure how quickly 'Dzah-Duh' is going to catch on with the masses.

And for all those who are as devastated as we are that Zara is not the Zara we once thought it was, you can join our support group.
