Princess Anne Is Secretly a Sunglasses Influencer

No one wears shades quite like the Princess Royal.

When it comes to royals with a signature accessory, Princess Charlotte has her hairbows, the Queen has her oversized brooches, and Princess Anne, apparently, has her shades.

At a number of recent engagements, including today’s garden party at Buckingham Palace, the Princess Royal has been seen sporting a striking pair of Adidas sunglasses. Similar to the Matrix-esque eyewear that have been spotted on runways and numerous starlets' Instagram accounts, the futuristic accessory creates quite the look, especially when paired with Anne's otherwise conservative attire.

For example, today, she wore them with a yellow-and-brown dress with matching jacket, a floral fascinator, pearls, and practical brown pumps.

The polarized lenses, which are more typically used for intense athletic training than a day socializing out in the garden, certainly add another dimension to the royal's prim and proper aesthetic, and we wouldn't be surprised if she starts a trend this summer.
