Floral Patterns, Local Weaves Star in Mari Mari Clothing Line

The new Hardin at Habi collection will be on display at its first ever trunk show at Lanai.

Manila-based clothing line Mari Mari has taken the unparalleled selection of flora in the Philippines as a source of inspiration for its latest maiden collection of wardrobe pieces. The Hardin at Habi line uses tropical garden flowers and the local art of weaving and translates them via delicate brush strokes to produce unique patterns with a distinctly Filipino flair. They were created at the studio of pattern designer Alessandra Lanot—from gouache and watercolor on paper to repeat patterns printed on fabric.


From July 6 to 9, the Hardin & Habi collection's limited edition pieces will be on display at Mari Mari's first ever trunk show at lifestyle emporium Lanai. Afterward, they will continue to be available at the brand's online store, shopmari.com.

Look forward to seeing fresh patterns of sampaguita and jute, waling-waling, and rosas juxtaposed with the weaves of the Laminosa tribe and the delicate patterns native to Cagayan Valley plastered all over the easily wearable blouses and dresses. 




The founding partners, Alessandra Marie Lanot, Julia Marie Morales, and Margaret Beatrice Tongco lent their names to form Mari Mari. Together, the three are fans of essential silhouettes that make for fun and interesting wardrobe staples.
