With the most wonderful time of the year upon us, there's not much that can distract young minds from the season's most pressing kid-problem: holiday wishlists.

Even, it seems, wandering through the wonderland of the Vanderbilt Museum.

In a new video for Maisonette, the online retailer that curates luxurious kids clothes, toys, and decor from top-of-the-line brands and chic independent boutiques, two children find themselves doing just that, searching the constellations of the museum's planetarium for the perfect gifts to add to their lists this season.

Directed by Beau Sam, the video was shot at the Vanderbilt Museum at Centerport in Long Island. Originally built in 1910 as a home for William K Vanderbilt II, the building was likely designed by the firm Warren & Wetmore, who also crafted the iconic look of New York's Grand Central Station. (Whitney Warren was a cousin of Vanderbilt's.)

It first opened to the public in 1922 with an exhibition of Vanderbilt's extensive collection of fish and marine life in the aptly named Hall of Fishes and later expanded to include galleries of his natural history and cultural artifact collections, along with nine dioramas created by artisans from the American Museum of Natural History.

Upon his death in 1944, Vanderbilt bequeathed the 43-acre waterfront museum complex, which today houses of 30,000 specimens, to Suffolk County. The full museum opened to the public in 1950 and has been updated over the years to include the planetarium that our young wish-listers find themselves in.
