Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele has once again partnered with A Magazine Curated By. The two had previously collaborated on the magazine’s November 2016 issue.

The eclectic traveling exhibition centered on three female photographers in different locations. It premiered in Art Basel Hong Kong and made stops in Beijing and Taipei. In Hong Kong, the exhibition focused on Canadian photographer Petra Collins; in Beijing, on British photographer Coco Capitán, and in Taipei, on American director Gia Coppola.

Liz Uy was among the select group of influential Asian stars invited to view the exhibition and Gucci's Fall/Winter 2017 collection.

The exhibits were divided into three specific zones. Taipei’s first section featured a selection of objects by Michele as well as prints from pages of the guest-edited issue. Titled, “The Cabinet of Curiosities,” visitors were let into the creative mind of Michele and Gucci’s aesthetic world, created in partnership with A Magazine Curated By editor-in-chief and exhibition curator Dan Thawley.

The second room was filled with photographs Gia Coppola had taken for the A Magazine Curated by Alessandro Michele issue, featuring Lily Stewart, Chuckie Grant, Augie Culligan, and Laura Love styled by her mother Jacqui Getty in Joshua Tree, California. In it, narrations in poetry format by American actress and activist Rowan Blanchard filled the room.

The final room, The #BlindForLove Cinema, took guests through a psychedelic audio-visual experience. Using a 270° screen installation, wall projections of photographs, paintings, relics, text, and sound were shown.

Under Michele’s direction, Gucci has already had two successful exhibitions in Shanghai and Tokyo, 2015’s “No Longer / Not Yet” with Love Magazine’s Katie Grand and 2016’s “Gucci 4 Rooms” in collaboration with artist GucciGhost.

Gucci is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists, Inc., and is located at Greenbelt 4 and Shangri-La Plaza East Wing.
