Fashion background
I studied fashion and textile design at Paris College of Art and interned at several French companies in the fields of apparel, accessories, and textiles, learning fashion collection development, embroidery, print design, and weaving. When I returned to Manila, I decided to start a designer womenswear brand that reflects my personal style. The clothes that I design are simple yet unique, always elegant and modern, and in relaxed silhouettes. I chose to focus on ready-to-wear rather than made-to-order because I want to design clothes that women can use every day.

My style is...
Laid-back but never too casual. I like wearing clothes that are simple yet stylish and in modern, relaxed cuts.

Favorite brands
COS, J. Crew, Joseph, Solace London, Uniqlo, Delpozo, Escada, Narciso Rodriguez, and Roksanda.

Favorite shops
I love browsing through department stores when I’m abroad: Le Bon Marché in Paris and Selfridges in London. I also enjoy going to trunk shows and trade fairs for the many interesting local brands and designers.

Personal uniform
I love jeans! I wear them almost every day except on sunny days when I bring out my shorts and summer dresses.

Current fashion wish list
Shoulder bags from Loewe and M2Malletier, and oversized sunglasses from Linda Farrow.

Earliest fashion memory
I admired the way my paternal grandmother put herself together. She was always so elegantly dressed in her color-coordinated outfits together with matching accessories and her perfectly coiffed hair.

Travel style essentials
Comfortable yet stylish walking shoes. My favorites are classics—white sneakers, cream loafers, and leopard print ballet flats.

Work style essentials
Skinny jeans, loose-fitting tops, flats, and an oversized tote bag to carry everything I need for the day. Everything needs to be comfortable as I am usually out and about running errands and meeting with customers and suppliers.

Favorite fashion movie
I never tire of watching The Devil Wears Prada. I must have watched it more than 30 times. The book is one of my favorite reads as well.

Fashion philosophy
It’s so important to feel comfortable and confident in what you are wearing. If you feel good, you look good. You should know what suits you, and which colors and cuts flatter you best. But it doesn’t hurt to try something new and different every now and then.

Fashion influences
I am greatly influenced by my travels. I have a habit of observing street style and I’m enamored by Parisian women. I find them effortlessly elegant and stylish without trying too hard with designer labels and trends.

Style icons
Diane Kruger for her ultra-modern, trendy and unpredictable style. Kerry Washington for her ability to carry bold colors and prints, and fashion-forward silhouettes. And Queen Rania of Jordan for her flawlessly chic and glamorous aesthetic.

Signature accessory
An oversized tote bag or a chic little shoulder bag. Depends on where I’ll be going or what I’ll be doing that day.

First big splurge
A trip to Europe.

Prized possessions
I treasure photographs of my travels. I love traveling, especially with family and friends.

I can’t live without…
My loved ones and my faith.
