Each awards show has its own distinct flavor. The Emmys used to more casual, but are slowly being infected with prestige; at the Golden Globes, stars are already waist-deep awards season campaign; the Oscars are when things really get serious. When the Tonys come around, though, an entirely different slate of awards bait is vying for recognition, and the usual Hollywood crew meets up with the parallel—if more melodramatic and musical—theater scene. And on the red carpet, they bring a style all their own.
