Every year since 1944, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has gathered the movie industry's best and brightest for the Golden Globe Awards to honor the accomplishments of film over the past year. Also known as the Oscars' more fun younger sister, the annual Globes ceremony always delivers a ton of memorable moments—and incredible outfits.

In honor of the 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards hosted by Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg on Sunday, January 6, we're counting down the most fabulous gowns and dresses that have hit the awards season opener over the years, with everything from Drew Barrymore's pink taffeta E.T.-era party dress to Lady Gaga's velvet gown in 2016, and some Cher, Sally Field and Barbra Streisand moments for good measure.
