Anna Sorokin—better known as her alter ego, Anna Delvey—captured the internet's attention last year, encircling the faux heiress in a mix of fascination, hate, and begrudging admiration. For years, Sorokin allegedly conned herself into New York City's elite social circles, swindling the rich into comping her lavish lifestyle. That all came to an end in 2017, when Sorokin was charged with grand larceny and theft of services, amounting to an alleged total of $275,000 in scams.

For a while now, she's been held on Rikers Island—but on Wednesday, she came back into the spotlight for her day in court. And boy, was she sporting a look.

The alleged con artist wore a black choker, V-neck dress, and Céline glasses; her hair was impressively manicured, as if she came fresh from a blowout appointment. The internet took notice.

Author Lara Marie Schoenhals tweeted, "My queen Anna Delvey serving an iconic trial look." Writer Rachel Syme asked the question of the hour: "who slipped her a Moroccan oil hair mask I must know."

Thanks to GQ, we now know exactly how Sorokin looked so good. She was styled by Anastasia Walker, who's previously worked with the likes of Courtney Love and T-Pain. Who decided this was a necessary step to take? That would be her lawyer, Todd Spodek.

In an email to GQ, he explained that "It is imperative that Anna dress appropriately for the trial. Anna's style was a driving force in her business, and life, and it is a part of who she is. I want the jury to see that side of her and enlisted a stylist to assist in slecting [sic] the appropriate outfits for trial."

T&C has reached out to Walker and Spodek, and will update this article if they respond.
