Earliest Fashion Memory
I’ve been exposed to fashion since I was born so it is second nature to me. I spent most of my childhood tagging along with my mom Lulu Tan-Gan to work. She took me to the office and factory, on buying and sourcing trips, and to trade fairs. We shopped together and went to events and shows. Being exposed to so much fashion all my life gave me a realistic and practical view on fashion. In some way, being exposed to it so much has made me less materialistic and less of a fashionista than most would think.
Describe Your Style
Laid-back with a touch of color.
Jessica wears a Tan-Gan sheer vest, her own BCBG belt, and Melissa shoes.
COS, Uniqlo for basics, and Tan-Gan, of course. J Brand for jeans, Balenciaga, and Alexander Wang. Toms and Melissa for shoes. Super for shades.
Her day to night essentials: Arnel Papa necklace, earrings of her own design
Dress for yourself. Fashion has to be you.
White and black jeans, nude sandals, sunglasses.
My mom dresses for herself and has an immense respect and love for fashion. She really treasures each and every piece she has. She only buys something if she really loves it. Usually, they’re classic pieces so they never go out of fashion. She’s a creative dresser and can mix and match something old with something new. Shera Tiu is the epitome of effortless cool. And Kai Lim always looks so feminine and polished.
Super shades, my Me&Ro earrings, and Flower Bomb perfume by Victor and Rolf.

I Can’t Live Without…
My family and dogs!
My favorite Me&Ro earrings that my mom gave me in high school. I feel incomplete when I don’t wear them. One side went missing a few years ago so my cousin Ann, whom I consider my older sister, bought me a replacement pair. Me&Ro didn’t make the exact same style as my original pair so I now wear one side from each pair. Wearing them makes me feel like my mom and Ann are always with me.
