What qualities must a jewelry designer possess?
Being successful in this field and maintaining it take a lot of hard work. You must be open to criticism and always have the mindset of improving yourself. Innovation and creativity play a big role. Aside from the design part, you also have to make sure that you are technically skilled in order to execute your design. Well thought out marketing strategies and connections are also important.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Having dinner with friends can be quite a luxury with my role as mother and wife. I never leave the kids by themselves. When I have alone time, I get a massage or my nails done.

What is one thing about you that would surprise people?
That I know how to sing and I was actually a professional singer before!

Most memorable beauty faux pas?
When I used a foundation that was light reflective and I ended up looking like a corpse in the pictures.

Beauty icon?
Grace Kelly. She had the grace, style, and elegance that I admire in a woman. Her beauty is incomparable. I want to leave the same impression.

What’s your biggest skincare concern?
Since I have sensitive skin, I try to use organic products as much as possible and try to live a healthy lifestyle.

What is the best beauty advice you've ever received?
My husband told me that I should not let anyone prick my face. Ever since I listened to him, my face became breakout-free.

What life philosophy do you try to live by?
That in everything, the first I have to please is God. When I do, things just fall into place. I would never compromise my beliefs just for fame or success.

What is your personal definition of beauty?
It is simply being happy—knowing what will make you happy and working for it.

Your daily skin care regimen?
I keep to a simple, three-step regimen before bed. Once a week, I use this do-it-yourself facial machine to remove dead skin cells.
