Yesterday, Karlie Kloss and Josh Kushner announced their engagement. After six years of dating, Kushner "proposed a few weeks ago during a romantic weekend together in upstate New York," a source told People.

"I love you more than I have words to express. Josh, you’re my best friend and my soulmate. I can’t wait for forever together. Yes a million times over," Kloss posted on Twitter along with a ring emoji.

Speaking of millions, Kloss has made a fortune through her work as a model (albeit one that's amounted to less than her venture-capital investor fiancé's).

The 25-year-old was discovered at a charity fashion show in her hometown of St. Louis at age 13. Husband-and-wife team Mary and Jeff Clarke of Mother Management, who also launched Ashton Kutcher's career, signed Kloss, and by age 18 she was reportedly earning more than $1 million a year.

In 2016, Forbes ranked Kloss the third-highest-paid model in the world; her $10-million earnings that year tied with Kendall Jenner's, and she had more campaigns than any other model in the ranking. She has booked campaigns for brands including L’Oréal, Swarovski, and Carolina Herrera. After a two-year hiatus from the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, she walked in this year's show in Shanghai.

In addition to her modeling gigs, Kloss founded the nonprofit Kode with Klossy in 2015. "I realized there was an opportunity to do more not only for myself but for others," Kloss told fellow model Christy Turlington Burns for the June/July 2018 issue of Town & Country. The organization is focused on teaching young girls how to code, and Kloss said she's found that "there’s a real confidence that comes with learning something challenging. They’re recognizing their potential in an industry in which they previously hadn’t seen themselves."
