This past Saturday night at the Schimanski nightclub in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, the opening act for the world-famous DJ Paul Oakenfold was not what you might expect: the bald 56-year-old behind the turntables has a day job as president and co-chief operating officer of Goldman Sachs.

David M. Solomon moonlights as DJ D-Sol and often performs with SiriusXM's DJ Liquid Todd, as he did on Saturday. This first photo on his Instagram page is a shot with Liquid Todd from more than a year ago. And while his DJ fees have not been reported, the New York Post says his Goldman salary is $1.85 million.

Solomon is an active DJ, with gigs at the W Hotel in Miami, Beautique and Up & Down in New York City, and the Electronic Music Awards in Los Angeles all promoted on the Instagram page.

Lately, though, Great Guana Cay in the Bahamas seems to be Solomon's destination of choice. He performed there on New Year's Day earlier this year.

"Dune Bar rocks," Solomon captioned this video, which seems to be from the Dune Bar at the Baker’s Bay Beach Club on Great Guana Cay.

"David’s always believed that having a wide range of outside interests leads to a balanced life and makes for a better career," Jake Siewert, a Goldman Sachs spokesman, told the New York Times last year. "He’s preached that regularly to younger employees in the firm and tries to lead by example."
