Princess Eugenie announced her engagement to longtime boyfriend Jack Brooksbank last night and shared not only photos of a stunning coral-colored engagement ring, but also plans for an autumn wedding at St. George's Chapel. Here's everything you need to know about the groom-to-be.

HE REPORTEDLY MET PRINCESS EUGENIE WHILE IN VERBIER, SWITZERLAND.

According to the Guardian, 31-year-old Brooksbank started dating Eugenie, 27, seven years ago. They met while skiing in the Swiss resort town, and continued dating long-distance when Eugenie moved to New York City briefly for her career.

HIS FUTURE IN-LAWS SEEM TO LIKE HIM.

"Jack is an absolutely outstanding young man and Eugenie and he have got to know each other over a number of years, and I’m really thrilled for them," Prince Andrew said following the engagement announcement. "I’m just completely overjoyed for them and wish them every happiness," he continued.

Eugenie's mother, Sarah Ferguson, also shared her enthusiasm for her future son-in-law on Twitter this morning. "We love Jack and I am so excited to have a son," she wrote.

AND HE'S SPENT TIME WITH THE REST OF THE ROYAL FAMILY.

Brooksbank has become something of a regular at recent royal events. Last summer, he was spotted at the Royal Ascot (above), and he's attended the annual Chelsea Flower Show in the past as well.

BROOKSBANK IS THE SON OF AN ACCOUNTANT.

This year, two commoners will be joining the royal family, Meghan Markle and Mr. Brooksbank. Brooksbank's parents are Nicola and George, an accountant and a company director, per People. He also has one brother named Thomas.

HE ESCHEWED UNIVERSITY AND WENT STRAIGHT INTO THE HOSPITALITY FIELD.

Growing up, Brooksbank's parents sent him to the private Stowe school in Buckinghamshire, England. He then skipped university, diving into a career in hospitality. At one point he managed the popular London nightclub Mahiki, and is currently the U.K. ambassador for George Clooney and Rande Gerber's tequila brand, Casamigos. According to the Daily Mail, Brooksbank has previously spoken about a dream to open a chain of "hostelries."
