With two royal weddings, the arrival of two new great-grandchildren and another royal baby on the way, 2018 has no doubt been an exciting time for the Queen. Before 2019 officially started on Tuesday, the royal family shared a short clip showing some of the most memorable moments from the monarch's engagements over the past 12 months.

It features annual events such as Trooping the Colour and the Royal Maundy Service along with special family occasions, including a group photo from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's wedding in May and Princess Eugenie's October nuptials.

The Queen's surprise appearance on the front row at London Fashion Week is also highlighted, as well as a moment from her first joint engagement with Meghan Markle, which took place in Cheshire back in June. But the monarch isn't the only royal who has had a busy year.

A second video shared on the royal Twitter page reflects on 2018 for all senior members of the family. It includes Prince Louis' birth in April, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's royal tour of Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand and a poignant moment showing Doria Ragland walking down the steps of St George's Chapel alongside Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall.

It's worth watching until the very end, too. Amongst the final clips is a brilliant image of Prince George as page boy at Princess Eugenie's wedding. Let's hope for plenty more adorable moments from the youngest members of the family in 2019.
