Queen Elizabeth Looks Delighted at the Chelsea Flower Show In Her First Appearance After the Royal Wedding

The monarch and other royals visited the London event.

Queen Elizabeth is back to work after a busy weekend celebrating the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's royal wedding in Windsor.

The Queen looked delighted while visiting the flower display at the annual Chelsea Flower Show yesterday. The show, which was originally founded in 1913, is organized by the Royal Horticultural Society, of which the Queen is a patron. Members of the royal family visit the flower shower every year, and this year, the Queen was clearly overjoyed with the flowers and gardens.

Royal reporter Richard Palmer shared a photo of the Queen's arrival, and her excitement is palpable:

One of the highlights of this year's show is the Feel Good Garden, which was designed to celebrate 70 years of NHS England and recognize the mental health benefits of gardening, according to the Palace. After the Chelsea Flower Show, the Feel Good Garden will be sent to the Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust, where roughly 30 adults will be able to access the garden on a daily basis.

The monarch was joined by other members of the royal family at the event, including Prince Andrew, Princess Beatrice, and Princess Anne.

Sophie, Countess of Wessex was also in attendance, where she was photographed looking as delighted as the Queen. Specifically, the Countess spent time in the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children Garden because she is a patron of the charity.

This marks the first engagement the royal family has taken on since the weekend of celebrations for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding. If you can't get enough of the royals, relive every magical moment from the royal wedding here.
