Monaco's Princess Charlene Shares a Sweet Back-to-School Photo of Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques
The holidays are over, and it's time to go back to school—even for Monaco's 4-year-old royal twins, Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques.
Their mother Princess Charlene shared the news on Instagram, with a photo of the two children in their school gear. Jaques is wearing a black puffer coat with jeans and sneakers, and holding a blue backpack. Gabriella is carrying what looks like the pink version of Jacques's bag, as well as a stuffed unicorn toy.
The twins have been known to carry toys around with them. Just this November on Monaco's National Day, that got them into a bit of trouble. Jacques and Gabriella were greeting the crowd on a balcony, and had brought a couple toys to keep them occupied. All went well until nearly the end of the celebrations, when Jacques dropped his action figure into the crowd.
An endearing photo of the aftermath shows both Gabriella and Jacques looking over the banister at the fallen toy, while a woman puts her hand over her mouth in shock.
Just after Jacques dropped his toy.
Earlier this year, during a visit to Elysée Palace to have tea with Brigitte Macron, Jacques again had an action figure in hand—this time a Spiderman toy. It's visible in several photos that Princess Charlene shared on Instagram.
In yet another recent post, Charlene made it clear that it's not just their own toys that Gabriella and Jacques are concerned with. The Monégasque princess shared an image of the twins with Santa Claus, looking over a booklet together. "Met up with Santa just to make sure he delivered all the presents to everyone," Charlene captioned the photo.
