Princess Eugenie is set to marry Jack Brooksbank on October 12 at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle, the same venue where Prince Harry and Meghan Markletied the knot in May. While there haven't been many details released about the upcoming nuptials, it's likely that Eugenie's older sister, Princess Beatrice, will be involved, much like how Kate Middleton's sister, Pippa, played a central role in her 2011 wedding to Prince William.

The two princesses are most known for their enviable style—including some pretty memorable hats—but they usually stay quiet about their personal lives. Here’s what you need to know about the two royals and their sisterly relationship.

THE SISTERS ARE ONLY 21 MONTHS APART.

The two princesses are the daughters of Prince Andrew, Duke of York, and Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York. Princess Beatrice was born on August 8, 1988, and Princess Eugenie was born on March 23, 1990.

BEATRICE AND EUGENIE ARE PART OF A SELECTIVE GROUP OF PRINCESSES.

Unlike Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, who are technically British princesses by marriage, Princess Beatrice and Eugenie are British princesses by birth.

THEY ARE TECHNICALLY NOT WORKING ROYALS.

A working royal is someone who carries out engagements on behalf of the Queen. Although they appear at official events, the princesses don't receive money or police protection through the royal family. Instead, the princesses both have full-time careers: Princess Beatrice in business and Princess Eugenie in the art world. They are also supported financially by their father. The fact that they're not working royalty is also part of why Princess Eugenie is allowed to have her own personal Instagram account.

BEATRICE AND EUGENIE USED TO LIVE TOGETHER.

Before Eugenie and her fiancé moved to Ivy Cottage, a home within Kensington Palace, the sisters lived together in a four-bedroom apartment at St James's Palace.

THEIR DIFFERENCES HAVE MADE THEM VERY CLOSE.

In 2008, Eugenie gave her first media interview to The Telegraph, and she explained how the differences between her and and older sister Beatrice help them get along. "We get on fantastically well, perhaps because we do and think different things. I am definitely not as polite as Beatrice, I have to say. I tell it as it is. I am shyer at first," she said. "Like, at a party I will say to Beatrice as we go in, 'Oh, you go first.' But then, when we're actually in, I am much louder and she is far more polite and solicitous."

THE TWO PRINCESSES HAVE DIFFERENT SENSES OF PERSONAL STYLE.

Princess Eugenie explained that the two have very different approaches when it comes to fashion. "She [Princess Beatrice] loves her glamorous dresses and her hair being curly or big—like Mummy's—and I hate volume. I like my hair to be sort of flat," she explained. "I like just throwing on a pair of jeans and generally being more understated. She is more 'Let's do the glamour.'"

THEY FIGHT OVER CLOTHES, AS SISTERS DO.

"It's quite funny how, like most sisters, we sometimes fight about clothes. I always take her clothes back to school, for instance, which she hates. We had a screaming argument over a pair of Converse trainers that I took back, which she said were hers and I said were mine," Princess Eugenie told The Telegraph. "And in the end, I realized they were hers when I found mine behind the door. Like all sisters, we have silly arguments about unimportant stuff, but we do love each other to death."

BEATRICE AND EUGENIE ARE BOTH VERY CLOSE WITH THEIR PARENTS.

Even though the Duke and Duchess of York got divorced in 1996, Fergie and Andrew have stayed close with each other, and their children, throughout the years. In an interview with Hello! Magazine, Princess Beatrice shared how her mother inspires her. "We’ve been through some incredibly stressful times together as a family and every single minute she created joy. I am so lucky that I get to learn from her every single day," she said. "I’m inspired by her ability to give, even when she’s going through something hard." And on Father's Day, Eugenie posted a sweet throwback picture of her and Beatrice giving their dad a kiss on the cheek.

THEY SHARE A CUTE NICKNAME, AND CLOSE BOND, WITH THEIR MOM.

"Mummy, Bea, and I call ourselves 'the Tripod'—they are my best friends in the world," Princess Eugenie said.

In 2016, Eugenie opened up to Harper's Bazaar about her day-to-day routine, and spoke about her mother and sister. "What can't I live without? My family. That sounds cheesy, but I really can't. Especially my mum. I wouldn't be able to make tough decisions without her. And my sister," she said. "My mum always says that we're the only ones who know exactly what's going on in each other's lives."
