Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mozzi Were Just Photographed Walking Hand in Hand in New York City
- Princess Eugenie has been dating businessman Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi for several months.
- In March of 2019, they were spotted holding hands out in public.
The royal family had a banner 2018, and in recent months, all eyes have been on two sets of newlyweds: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank. But Eugenie's sister Princess Beatrice reportedly has a new beau as well, businessman Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
Beatrice has allegedly been seeing "Edo," as he is known to friends, for a few months now. Here's everything we know about their relationship so far.
THEY MET YEARS AGO.
While British tabloid the Sun claims the pair only met in September, People reports the couple has known each other for a while now.
Mozzi's step-father Christopher Shale, who passed away suddenly at the Glastonbury music festival in 2011, was close friends with Beatrice's parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson. In fact, Beatrice attended Shale's funeral alongside her parents more than seven years ago.
Perhaps Beatrice and Edo were reacquainted just a few months ago. According to the Sun's source, “Beatrice and Edo have the same circle of friends and were introduced through a mutual chum ... They hit it off instantly and have a real laugh together. They’ve been on holiday together and Beatrice introduced him to Fergie and her dad. Things are moving very quickly and it wouldn’t surprise anyone if they got engaged within a short period of time."
THEY'VE ONLY BEEN PHOTOGRAPHED IN PUBLIC TOGETHER A FEW TIMES.
While it is thought that Beatrice and Edo have been dating for several months, they were only recently photographed in public together. Pictures surfaced in the Daily Mail of the couple walking on the beach together in Kenya in early January.
In March, the couple stepped out together at the 2019 Portrait Gala, which is held at the National Portrait Gallery. The photo up top is from that event.
Later that month, on St. Patrick's Day, they were spotted holding hands in New York City.
