It's Princess Charlotte's birthday—and it seems like the young royal is going to do things right this year.

During an event today, Prince William let it slip that his four-year-old daughter was going to celebrate with a "rowdy party." Author and playwright Julia Donaldson, who received an honor from William at today's investiture ceremony, told ITV this juicy detail.

Donaldson poses with her CBE, or Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British empire, for services to literature.

"He said it was Princess Charlotte's birthday and she was going to have a rowdy party," she said. Donaldson also revealed that she'd attempted to plug a children's book of hers that features Queen Elizabeth's corgis. (As a side note, that book would honestly be an excellent birthday present for Charlotte, as Charlotte is a huge fan of Donaldson's classic The Gruffalo. Per Donaldson, William said "he'd look out for that one.")

The idea that Charlotte's birthday party would particularly wild tracks with what we know about the young royal. She is, after all, a dancing queen. Prince William once remarked, "My daughter Charlotte loves dancing," which fits with an earlier report from the Duchess of Cambridge. This past August, Kate shared that Charlotte "loves to dance" and is already taking lessons. "She absolutely loves it," Kate added.

Charlotte gets silly, much to her mother’s amusement.

Charlotte also has a knack for cooking—a key skill for anyone hoping to throw a successful event. In February, Kate revealed that she encourages both Charlotte and her older brother, Prince George, to cook with her, and that the trio had successfully prepared cheesy pasta together.

If she's already having crazy parties at age four, we can't wait to follow Princess Charlotte's adventures as she grows into a young adult.
