Prince William and Kate Middleton Make a Holiday Visit to Members of the Military in Cyprus

The royals will deliver holiday gifts and treats from home to military personnel serving abroad.

Prince William and Kate Middleton are spreading holiday cheer all the way to Cyprus today with a visit to RAF Akrotiri, a British air force station on the Mediterranean island. Just yesterday, the royals hosted a holiday party for military families in London, where they spent time with families whose relatives are currently serving in Cyprus. Today, they'll be delivering holiday gifts and treats from home to the men and women based at RAF Akrotiri, most of whom will be apart from their families throughout the holiday season. The royals are visiting RAF Akrotiri, an air force station on the Mediterranean island.

According to the Palace, some of the deployed military personnel Will and Kate met are supporting Operation Shader, the United Kingdom's campaign against Daesh.

Yesterday, Kate gave a moving speech at the Christmas event for military families, where she touched on the difficulties of having a loved one away for the holidays.
