After months of keeping Prince Louis out of the public eye, the royal family has finally released a new photo of one of its youngest members.

The picture was included in a BBC documentary about Prince Charles titled "Prince, Son & Heir: Charles at 70," which premiered over the weekend, and shows Duchess Kate holding her baby, while Prince Charles lovingly looks at his third grandchild.

The sweet moment was captured by Getty's royal photographer Chris Jackson, and while it's difficult to know exactly when the picture was taken, it's clear that little Louis resembles his older brother George.

In the new photo, Louis is wearing a white top and light blue shorts with bloomers, and looks much bigger than the last time we saw him, at his christening in July.

For her part, Kate appears to be wearing a blue polka-dotted Alessandra Rich dress, similar to the one Meghan Markle's close friend Abigail Spencer wore to the royal wedding in May.

Kate's sister Pippa also wore a similar design, albeit in a different color, to Prince Louis's christening.

There's no way to know when the public will next get a glimpse of Prince Louis. George and Charlotte weren't photographed at the royal family's annual Christmas outing until they were a little older than their brother is now, but there's a chance we could see him as the family walks in to church in Sandringham.

There's also the possibility that the Palace will release additional photos of Charles and his family in celebration of his landmark birthday next week. Keep checking back—We'll be sure to report on any news there.
