On Wednesday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle introduced their two-day-old son to the world. The couple brought the baby—whose name is Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor—to St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle for a quick photo opp and short interview before taking him to meet his grandparents, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

"Parenting is amazing," Harry said. "It's only been, what, two and a half days but we're just so thrilled to have our own little bundle of joy... He's already got a little bit of facial hair, too, it's wonderful."

Harry, wearing a light gray suit and navy tie, cradled the newborn in his right arm, which gave the cameras a glimpse of his two bracelets peeking out from under his dress shirt. Though Harry often wears the bracelets, they were front and center as news cameras zoomed in for the first look at Baby Sussex.

One of the bands appears to be made of metal with a pattern of engravings. As Hello magazine points out, the Prince has been pictured wearing that particular bracelet since 2001, and it's believed he got it during a 1997 trip to Africa after his mother, Princess Diana, died. His brother, Prince William, has been photographed wearing a similar bracelet.

Harry and William have spent a lot of time in Africa since going with their mom in the 1990s—and since meeting Markle, the couple have traveled there often. Harry talked to Town & Country about the brothers' first trip to Africa in a 2017 interview: "I first came in 1997, straight after my mum died. My dad told my brother and me to pack our bags—we were going to Africa to get away from it all ... This is where I feel more like myself than anywhere else in the world. I wish I could spend more time in Africa. I have this intense sense of complete relaxation and normality here."

Harry paired the metal bracelet with a brown, beaded one. He and Markle share matching blue and black beaded bracelets, and Harry often pairs his with the metal bracelet. But lately he's been bringing out the brown version for dressier occasions, like his cousin Princess Eugenie's wedding in October 2018.

Let's hope the newest little royal takes style notes from his well-accessorized dad.
