Following an impressive royal welcome to Buckingham Palace, the King and Queen of Spain were greeted by Prince Harry on the second day of their state visit to the UK.

In his first official role during a state visit, the Prince accompanied King Felipe VI and his wife Queen Letizia on a tour of Westminster Abbey. It came after he made his debut at the state banquet on Wednesday night, when the Queen and Prince Philip hosted a dinner for their guests of honor and over a hundred other attendees, including the Duchess of Cambridge.

On Thursday, Harry introduced the royal visitors to the Dean of Westminster John Hall, who led the group around the historic London landmark. They were shown the Tomb of Eleanor of Castile and the Grave of the Unknown Warrior, where King Felipe laid a wreath.

The special guests were also invited to sign the visitor's book, which was signed by Felipe's father, Juan Carlos I, during the last state visit by the Spanish royal family in 1986.

Following the Abbey tour, the King and Queen are due to have meetings with Theresa May and the Spanish ambassador during their time in London. After a visit to Oxford University and talks with business leaders in the capital, the couple's visit will come to an end when they return to Spain on Friday.
