Daily Mail reported that the couple announced the news to the Royal Family during Princess Eugenie's wedding last week. The next addition to the royal family will be seventh in line to the throne.

Markle's mother, Doria Ragland, is reportedly ecstatic about the news. She “is very happy about this lovely news and looking forward to welcoming her first grandchild,” a palace spokesperson says.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are currently on tour in Australia, their first one since getting married in May. The 16-day trip will have the royal couple visit surrounding parts of the continent including Fiji, the Kingdom of Tonga and New Zealand.

Do you think the royal baby will be a boy or a girl?
