Meghan Markle Confirms She Has a New Dog, but Its Name Isn't 'Oz'
There's a new member of the Sussex family—Prince Harry and Meghan Markle got a dog!
During her visit to Sussex yesterday, Meghan confirmed the news that she and Harry have a new pup, but people keep “getting her name wrong.”
In September, it had been reported that the pooch was called "Oz," so perhaps we can cross that name off the list.
According to People, "the couple got the dog — believed to be a Labrador — in early summer." The magazine also reports that the new pup has been traveling with them from their home in London at Kensington Palace to their country estate in the Cotswolds this summer. (It's unclear if she also got the invitation to travel to Lake Como with the Clooneys back in July.)
The couple already has one dog, Meghan's rescue beagle Guy, who traveled to the UK before the royal wedding. No word yet on how he feels about his new sibling.
The Duchess had to leave her other dog, Bogart, a Labrador-Shepherd mix, behind in Toronto when she moved across the pond.
"I've had two dogs that I've had for a long time, two rescue pups," Meghan said in her first interview following her engagement to Prince Harry. "One is now staying with a very close friend and the other little guy is, yes, he's in the U.K. He's been here for a while. I think he's doing just fine."
In fact, there are two new books in the works about Guy and his fairytale journey from a shelter to Kensington Palace. Pre-order those two stories below.

Prince Harry and Meghan's Lab is only the latest in a long line of royal dogs. Of course the Queen is famous for her love of corgis, but Prince William and Duchess Kate also have a pup, a Cocker Spaniel named Lupo, which they got shortly after their wedding.
