It was only a matter of time. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's romance is coming to the small screen in the form of a Lifetime movie.

On January 14, the network announced Harry & Meghan: The Royal Love Story, a film that will dramatize the couple's love story "from the moment they met after being set up by friends, through their initial courtship when they were able to keep their romance under wraps, and ultimately the intense global media attention surrounding their relationship and Meghan’s life as a divorced American actress," per Deadline.

A premiere date has yet to be released for the film, though sometime before Meghan and Harry's May 19 nuptials would be an obvious target. Menhaj Huda of The Royals will direct; the script was written by Scarlett Lacey, and actors have yet to be cast.

While Markle has some experience with Lifetime's competitor (see the soon-to-be-royal's Hallmark movie roles here), it's all but guaranteed that the American actress won't play herself.

We'll be sure to update as soon as the actors have been named. Keep in mind, Meghan & Harry's predecessor, William & Kate: The Movie, helped launch the careers of such actresses as Louise Linton, wife of treasury secretary Steven Mnuchin.
