The bride may have to make the long walk up the aisle while the groom waits for her at the alter, but Prince Harry had his high-pressure moment too: The removal of the veil.

It got a little (adorably, endearingly) awkward:

To be fair, this isn't usually a role the husband-to-be plays. At Prince William's wedding to Kate Middleton, it was the bride's father, Michael Middleton, who removed the veil.

Meghan's veil was an elaborate—if etherial—counterpoint to her simple, chic Givency gown by British designer Clare Waight Keller with no embroidery or beading. Waight Keller made the veil as well, which had delicate embroidery along the edges. Read more about its special meaning here.

As the newly-minted Duchess of Sussex entered the church, her veil was carried by her page boys, Brian and John Mulroney, the sons of Markle's close friend Jessica Mulroney.
