Meghan Markle's Half-Sister Responds to Prince Harry's Comments About Meghan's Family

Samantha Markle bristled at Harry saying the royals are "the family that I suppose she’s never had."

Meghan Markle's half-sister, Samantha Markle, has consistently been the most vocal member of the soon-to-be-royal's family. The estranged sister has responded to reporters and rumors that acknowledge or speculate on the Markle family. But Samantha's latest clap-back was directed not at the media but at her sister's fiancé, Prince Harry.

Just yesterday, Harry revealed details about Meghan's first Christmas with the royal family. In the interview, Harry praised Meghan's composure and said the holiday was "fantastic." Harry added that Meghan has "done an absolutely amazing job, she’s getting in there and it’s the family that I suppose she’s never had."

That comment didn't sit well with Samantha, so she took to Twitter on the defensive:

She also took to Twitter to promote her upcoming book, titled The Diary of Princess Pushy's Sister. The book will reportedly reveal details about the Markle family's home life:

Meghan's estranged half-sister Samantha is 17 years her senior and has been the most vocal member of the Markle family, even opening up about her soon-to-be-royal sibling in a TLC special. Meghan reportedly has a close relationship with both of her parents. Her mother, Doria, even appeared with Meghan and Prince Harry at the Invictus Games back in September, while her father, Thomas, recently said he would "love to" walk his daughter down the aisle.

Neither Harry nor Meghan have appeared to acknowledge the tweet, and in the past they have seemed not to engage with Samantha's statements. But from what we can tell, Meghan's first Christmas with the royals was perfection. Spending a weekend with the royal family is no small feat– nor for any fiancé celebrating a holiday with future in-laws– and Harry's sweet comments can be seen as an assurance and welcome to his soon-to-be wife.
