Meghan Markle's Parents Will Spend Quality Time with Queen Elizabeth Before the Royal Wedding
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s families will finally meet in the same place at the same time—and it’s a much higher pressure situation than a typical gathering of the in-laws. Meghan Markle’s parents will meet key members of the royal family just one week before the couple
Kensington Palace announced Friday that Thomas Markle and Doria Ragland will arrive in the U.K. the week of the wedding. While they’re in the country, they will spend quality time with the Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Duchess Camilla, Prince William, and Duchess Kate. “Prince Harry and Ms. Markle are very much looking forward to welcoming Ms. Markle’s parents to Windsor for the wedding,” the palace said in a statement.
Thomas will walk Meghan down the aisle on the big day, while Doria will arrive at the church with her by car. It's unclear whether Meghan's half-siblings and other family members, who have spoken out against her in the press, have received invitations to attend.
Doria has met Harry on several occasions, including during the Invictus
