Last week was a very busy one for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. They announced their engagement, melted hearts everywhere, and treated royal fans to two days of appearances. On Monday, they posed for their gorgeous engagement photos and sat down for an adorable interview. They once again blessed the world with their presence on Friday for Meghan's first official royal event. But since then, the royal couple has remained out of the spotlight.

This week, Harry was spotted solo at a star-studded caroling service in London—Pippa Middleton and Harry's ex Cressida Bonas were also in attendance. Sadly for royal watchers everywhere, Meghan and her stunning engagement ring were nowhere to be found.

As it turns out, there's a very good explanation for Meghan's absence: she is currently visiting her mother back in Los Angeles, according to E! News. But Harry and Meghan won't be apart for long. After spending the holidays together at the Queen's estate, Sandringham, the happy couple plans to go on vacation. Through it all, the newly-engaged duo will no doubt be busy planning their May 2018 wedding.
