Lee Radziwill spent her entire life curating her aesthetic, and now, the American style icon's personal collection is heading to the auction block. Town & Country can exclusively report that Christie's will host a sale of Radziwill's possessions in October, and the lots will include books, jewelry, photographs, work of fine art, which hung in her homes in New York and Paris, and other memorabilia.

While Radziwill, who passed away in February at the age of 85, was known to many as the sister of first lady Jackie Kennedy, she was also noteworthy in her own right, and had a successful and varied career working as an actress, an interior designer, and a public relations executive. Her social circle was also legendary, and close friends included cultural figures ranging from Truman Capote and Andy Warhol, to Giorgio Armani, and the members of the Rolling Stones.

"The contents of the collection offer a glimpse into Ms. Radziwill’s fascinating life, spanning her years as a prominent socialite, princess, designer, and witness to a momentous era in American history," reads a summary of the auction.

Further details regarding the sale are expected to be released in coming weeks, and a full catalog of the auction will be available in September.

"Lee Radziwill is remembered by all who knew her as a symbol of sophistication and connoisseurship, with a fascinating life story," said Marc Porter, the chairman of Christie’s Americas. "It will be Christie’s honor to share Ms. Radziwill’s personal collection with the world this October, as we invite an international audience of collectors, designers, tastemakers, and admirers to join us as we pay tribute to such an extraordinary life and legacy."
