The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have announced plans to visit Norway and Sweden in early 2018, at the request of the United Kingdom's Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

The royal family shared news of the dates this morning via Twitter. Will and Kate will be in Stockholm on January 30 and 31 and in Oslo on February 1 and 2.

Much like this summer's royal tour of Germany and Poland, this trip is believed to be part of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's unofficial duties as Brexit ambassadors, attempting to strengthen relations with other European countries as the UK prepares to leave the EU.

It has yet to be revealed whether Prince George and Princess Charlotte will accompany their parents on this royal tour (though our fingers are certainly crossed).

Earlier this year, it was rumored Will and Kate would be making a trip to Scandinavia in November of 2017. Perhaps Kate's hyperemesis gravidarum played a role in moving the trip; early in her pregnancy, she suffered from the severe morning sickness, which typically gets better further along in the pregnancy.

A more detailed itinerary for the royal tour has yet to be released. We'll be sure to update this post as we know more.
