Kate Middleton is good at being a royal. She knows how to smile genially, speak kindly to fans, and graciously accept tokens of their appreciation. In nearly every photo, she looks beautiful, peaceful, and kind—a modern Disney-esque princess.

But every now and then, royal watchers get a peek at Kate's wild(er) side. Mostly, this happens during sporting events. The Duchess experiences a full range of emotion, reacting to every tennis stroke, rugby catch, or synchronized swimming routine. Despair! Surprise! Joy! It's all there, on her extremely expressive face. Here, Kate Middleton's best sports reactions.
